Directions for reading assignments

Note: The best way to be sure you are on the correct Reading post is to click on “Reading Assignments” in the Topics section in the right column. The current reading should be at the top.

Students will be assigned seven readings throughout the semester. Click here to access all readings. You will need a Login and Password which will only be given to registered students.*  After finishing the reading, go to the blog posting for that reading. Be sure it is the correct blog – it will be clearly titled as Spring 10 Reading and will also be accessible in the Categories section. Click on ‘leave a comment’ at the bottom of that post and write your comment, leaving your first name. You will be able to read other students comments. Please treat this as a conversation with each other about the current reading. Comments can be short (4 or 5 sentences) but must be specific to the contents of the reading – how this applies to you and your work, what it reminds you of, etc.  Students will have two weeks to post a comment (comments will automatically close after 16 days). Note: Along with the reading posts, I will also post videos and images as I find them. Students are welcome to comment on anything but keep in mind that reading credit will only be given on the blogs that are titled: Spring10 Reading.

*For anyone interested but not registered in my course, I will include source information for each reading with page numbers on the blog and in the syllabus.
